This study was carried out to provide basic data for efficient protection management post-construction in addition to provide experience and educational data to correctly understand the natural ecosystem by thorough analysis of vascular plants before construction at planed site of National Yongjibong natural recreation forest in Gimhae-city from May to September 2020.
The vascular plants collected 8 times were consist of total 348 taxa; including 95 families, 234 genuses, 308 species, 3 subspecies, 30 variants 7 forms and the species/genus ratio and pteridophytes index were 1.49 and 1.05, respectively.
The Korea endemic plants found in this survey area were 8 taxa including Celtis choseniana, Broussonetia kazinoki, Thalictrum actaefolium var. brevistylum, Lespedeza maritima, Forsythia koreana, Paulownia coreana, Weigela subsessilis and Iris ensata var. spontanea, and endemic index was 2.3%.
Rare plants designated by Korea Forest Service were 6 taxa including Juniperus chinensis var. sargentii, Hylotelephium ussuriense, Thuja orientalis, Celtis chosenianai, Iris ensata var. spontanea and Chloranthus fortunei, and rare index was 1.7%.
The floristic regional indicators plants were 32 taxa comprising 3 taxa of grade V, 3 taxa of grade IV, 9 taxa of grade III, 4 taxa of grade II and 13 taxa of grade I, with a specific index of 3.2%.
The naturalized plants were 26 taxa including Rumex crispus and naturalized index and urbanized index were 8.2% and 6.2% respectively.
The target plants adaptable to climate change were 10 taxa such as Ligustrum japonicum, Ilex crenata, Meliosma myriantha, Hylotelephium ussuriense, Pteris multifida, Rhus sylvestris, Ligustrum quihoui var. latifolium, Viburnum odoratissimum var. awabuki, Chloranthus fortunei, Iris ensata var. spontanea and Artemisia dubia.
Based on the list approved for delivering overseas of plants, 114 taxa were recorded in this survey area.
