The purpose of this study is to understand the mediating effects of unadaptive perfectionism, performance confidence, and dance stress of graduate students which are majoring in dance . A total of 320 online questionnaires were distributed from March 3, 2020 to June 4, 2020 to dance majors (Korean dance, ballet, contemporary dance (contemporary, etc.) located in City J and D, and it was instructed to be written with a Self-administration method. Among 320 questionnaire results, a total of 296 were validated and used in the actual analysis while, 24 questionnaire results were excluded due to the lack of reliability in the responses. The measurement tools of the study were modified and supplemented to meet the purpose of the study and used a five-step equilibrium scale (Likert scale) with a total of 55 questions. The questionnaire is consisted of demographic characteristics (4 questions), unadaptive perfectionism (20 questions), dance stress (18 questions), and performance confidence (13 questions). Data analysis was done by IBM SPSS Statistics 23 version, including exploratory factor analysis, feasibility analysis, reliability analysis, difference verification (t-test, One-Way ANOVA), correlation analysis and multi-regression analysis and mediated effect analysis were conducted. based on the above research procedures and data analysis, results in this study was drawn to the following conclusions. First, there were differences in regards to demographic characteristics. 1) As a result of difference verification between genders, dance stress has been shown to be highly perceived in women rather than men. 2) As a result of difference verification between grades (year) unadaptive perfectionism was highly perceived by sophomores. Discriminatory evaluation stress of dance stress, environmental stress, economic burden stress, career stress was found to be highly perceived among the seniors. For the physical inability stress and human relationship stress, it was shown that sophomores perceived it to be higher. 3) As a result of difference verification between the majors, the socially-prescribed perfectionism of the unadaptive perfectionist was highly perceived by ballet and contemporary dance. Differential evaluation stress of dance stress, dance injury stress was perceived higher in ballet. Economic burden stress was highly perceptive in contemporary dance and ballet. Contemporary dance and ballet perceived environmental stress higher. 4) Difference verification results based on the person''s dance career showed that the suspicion of the act of unadaptive perfectionism was highly perceived by the group that had less than 3 years of experience. The practical ability stress among dance stress was highly perceived in groups of less than three to five years of career. Performance confidence was high in groups of five to seven years and groups of more than seven years of career. Second, there were relationships between unadaptive perfectionism, dance stress and performance confidence of students majoring in dance. 1) the unadaptive perfectionism of dance majors has been shown to have a meaningful impact on dance stress. Concerns on the mistakes of unadaptive perfectionism showed positive correlation (+) with body form stress, dance injury stress, environmental condition stress. Suspicion about the behavior showed positive correlation (+) with practical ability stress, human relationship stress and economic stress. Socially-imposed perfectionism showed positive correlation (+) with discriminative assessment, body form stress, practical ability stress, human relationship stress, economic stress, environmental stress conditions and career stress. 2) the misadaptive perfectionism for dance major students has been shown to have a meaningful impact on performance confidence. Doubt on the act of unadaptive perfectionism had a negative correlation (-) with performance confidence. 3) the dance stress for college student in dance major has been shown to have a meaningful impact on performance confidence. The practical ability of dance stress and career stress were shown to have a negative correlation (-) with confidence in the performance. Third, for dance major students, dance stress had a mediated effect between unadaptive perfectionism and performance confidence.
