Cobalt sulfide (CoS) material is broadly used to be energy development field. This material is basically classified as a characteristic of called one of transition metal chalcogenides series. Specially, to use the CoS material for supercapacitors through an energy-related research, the specific capacity, high performance, and electrochemical conductivity play a big role. In an effort to enhance the characteristics of capacitors, many studies are underway to apply nanotechnology to a structure of electrode materials. The CoS material was synthesized by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) process to make nanostructure for supercapacitors. As a result, after annealing, this nanomorpholgy was composed of crystalline nanosheet of CoS. The number of cycles for dipping and rinsing can control the nanosheet thickness of CoS. Field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) showed a layer structure of CoS particles coupled as aggromeration. And x-ray diffraction (XRD) exhibited the crystallinity of CoS nanosheet. To investigate the electrode characteristics on the supercapacitor, electrochemical measurements of analysis were conducted. Hence, the CoS nanosheet of 70 cycles shows the specific capacitance of 44.25 mF/cm2 at 0.25 mA/cm2 with electrochemical stability of 90.9 % during 2000 cycles.
