The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotional support, burnout and self-determination of child care teachers and to examine the mediating effect of self-determinism in the relationship between emotional support and burnout. This study examined that the relationship between variables by using the structural equation model.

250 child care teacher who enrolled in the university ''s institute for upgrading and maintenance education responded to questionnaires on emotional support, burnout and self - determination in Daegu and Kyungpook provinces. A total of 250 questionnaires were distributed and final analysis was conducted for 228 subjects except for the questionnaires that were not responded to and answered unfavorably.

Statistical methods for data analysis are SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 24.0. We then estimated the model fit using the maximum likelihood estimation method.
The fit of the measurement model was evaluated using the Chi-Square (), the standardized Chi-Square (NC), the Tucker-Lewis Index (TLI) and the Comparative Fit (RMSEA), and the Standing Root Mean Aquare Residual (SRMR), and statistical significance was tested at the significance level of .05. AMOS 24.0 bootstrapping was performed to confirm the mediation effect.

The results of this study are as follows:

First, the exhaustion of childcare teachers was negatively influenced by emotional support and self?determination.
Second, the emotional support of the child care teacher has a positive effect on the self-determinism, and the higher the perception of the emotional support, the more positive influence on self?determination.
Third, the emotional support of the child care teachers has a negative influence on the burnout, but these effects are indirect influences through the self-determination of the child care teachers.

This implies that the influence of emotional support on the exhaustion of daycare teachers is completely mediated by self?determinism.
The purpose of this study is to prevent and reduce the exhaustion of daycare teachers by investigating the effects of childcare teachers'' emotional support and self - determination.

The results of this study suggest that self-determination is more important than emotional support in preventing and reducing the exhaustion of daycare teachers. In other words, it is implied that environmental factors are important to reduce the burnout of childcare teachers, but they suggest that improvement of internal factors is more important.
