A kinetic Analysis of Yacht Athletes'' Hikeout Posture

This study was conducted to investigate the difference in the ability of male yacht athletes to control their posture according to the ratio of strength to strength during hiking out. In order to investigate the effect of the measurement variables on posture control ability, 32 male yacht players were assigned to each group according to the ratio of knee and waist muscle strength. The players were to keep hike out posture on the yacht model.
One-way analysis of variance was conducted to verify the difference between groups using SPSS 21.0, and Duncan test was used for post-test. Pearson''s correlation analysis and Multiple regression analysis were performed to determine the effect of the variables on measurement variables and posture control ability. All statistical significance levels were set to α=.05
1. The peak torques of the knee and trunk of the yacht players were measured for this study. The measured results show that the knee extension was measured as 188.72±31.70 Nm, and the flexion was 126.40±19.62 Nm. Also, the extension of trunk was measured 257.50±49.80 Nm, and the flexion was 215.31±44.39 Nm. The peak torques % body weight of the knee and trunk of the yacht players were measured for this study. The measured results show that the knee extension was measured as 249.82±36.19 %BW, and the flexion was 167.70±24.37 %BW. Also, the extension of trunk was measured 353.88±6.66 %BW, and the flexion was 293.99±55.51 %BW.
2. According to the Ipsilateral muscle ratio, in comparison of postural control abilities, the movement distance, range, and area of the Center of Pressure (COP) were the smallest in the muscle strength ratio balance group of the knee and trunk. Next, the groups composed of the knee muscle balance and trunk imbalance and the groups composed of the knee muscle imbalance and trunk muscle balance were similar, and the groups composed of the knee muscle imbalance and trunk muscle imbalance groups were the largest.
3. In the relationship between the measurement variables and the posture control ability, there was a significant effect on the distance of movement of the COP in the mediolateral movement range. The abdominal muscles were affected by static and the waist affected negatively. At the COP 95% confidence ellipse area, waist affected negatively.
As a result of this study, it was found that maintaining the normal range of the knee to waist strength ratio has a more positive effect on the control of posture during hiking out. If knee and/or waist strengths used in hike out is unbalanced, it is considered to have a negative effect on posture control ability. In addition, in the relationship between the measurement variable and the posture control ability, the abdominal muscles have a stabilizing effect and the waist has negative influence. Thus, abdominal muscle plays a more important role in maintaining a hike out posture in a certain wind.
