이 연구는 음악치료 전공생 및 전문가의 대인관계 유능성이 역전이 관리능력에 미치는 영향에서 마음챙김의 매개효과를 검증하는 것에 그 목적을 두고 있다. 연구 대상은 인턴과정 중인 음악치료 전공생과 공인 음악치료사 자격증 취득 후 전국에서 임상을 진행하고 있는 음악치료사 121명이며, 수집된 설문자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 사용하여 통계 분석하였다. 연구 가설에 따른 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 음악치료 전공생 및 전문가의 대인관계 유능성이 역전이 관리능력에 정적영향을 미친다는 가설은 지지되었다. 둘째, 음악치료 전공생 및 전문가의 마음챙김이 대인관계 유능성과 역전이 관리능력의 관계를 매개할 것이라는 가설은 지지되었다.
음악치료사의 대인관계 유능성이 역전이 관리능력에 인과적 영향을 미치며 이러한 영향은 마음챙김의 정도에 따라 달라진다는 것으로, 음악치료사의 전문성 향상을 위한 교육과 훈련에 있어 중요한 정보를 제공한다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.
