The purpose of this study is to design a prototype for a team ? based career education app for university students.
In recent years there have been many changes in universities regarding career path today. Professors in each department are in charge of their own career courses and proceed with lectures. We need an app to improve the efficiency of career education. This would make it possible to overcome differences in viewpoints of career education among students, universities and companies.
Career education apps were mainly developed for elementary, middle, and high schools. University students are more educated in the form of employment education than career education. However, it is important to include career education programs for university students as well as job training. The reasons for this are as follows.
First, career education is needed in order to cope with rapid changes in the future job world. The era of the fourth industrial revolution, and the occupational ecosystem. Career education should be promoted to the level of lifelong education.
Second, as universities enter the age of lifelong learning, the diversity in students such as early retirees, retirees, pre-career patients, and the unemployed are making various demands. Therefore, it is necessary to run a competency-centered career education app.
Third, there is a need for a behavioral career education app that does not focus on past career examinations. In other words, we need a career education app that establishes and implements a concrete career action plan for university students.
Team-based career education app prototype for college students is needed. It was developed using the rapid prototype development methodology. Based on Jones and Rich''s Rapid Prototype Development Model. Analysis, Design, Development, Prototype, and Operation. Designed and developed simultaneously, university students, researchers and experts interacted with each other to design prototypes by effectively reflecting and accelerating development speed, efficiency, and ideas. This facilitated the interaction between researchers, experts and college students.
Through this study, the team - based career education app prototype for university students was designed, and the applicability of university career education was confirmed. In addition, through literature and case analysis, career education process that can be applied to university career education was derived. In the career education, we divided the online and offline parts that could be done on a team basis. Based on this, we designed the prototype of the app. It was designed as a team learning tool for university students, and it was possible to create a way to solve the problems of career education. Based on the prototype, we received positive feedback as the user evaluated. I hope that career education for university students will develop by utilizing team-based career education app for university students.
