철골 중간모멘트 골조는 중, 약진 지역에서 지진력 저항시스템으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 현행 내진 기준에 따라 설계한 철골 중간모멘트 골조의 내진 붕괴 성능을 평가하고자 하였다. ASCE 7-10, AISC 360-10, AISC 341-10에 따라 설계한 철골 중간 모멘트 골조의 붕괴 확률을 FEMA P-695에서 제시하고 있는 절차에 따라 산정하였다. 산정 결과에 근거하여 ASCE 7-10에서 명시하고 있는 철골 중간모멘트 골조의 높이 제한의 타당성을 평가하고자 하였다.
