This study was conducted in order to identify phosphorus (P) dynamics and mineralization of livestock manure compost (LMC) applied to the sea-reclaimed land soils with two different levels of electric conductivity (EC) and two kinds of texture. We have found that amendment of LMC did not affect rates of P mineralization in the different levels of soil EC, whereas available P contents was higher in the sandy loam soil than in the clay loam soil. Maximum adsorption amounts of P using Langmuir sorption
isotherm at high and low EC of sandy loam soil was at 0.88g and 0.33g P2O5 ㎏-1 respectively, and in high and low EC of clay loam soil was at 1.25g and 1.04g P2O5 ㎏-1, respectively. Increase of LMC and chemical fertilizer was in good linear regression with increase of Av. P2O5 content and 0.01M-CaCl2 extractable P content. No
significant difference was found between LMC and CF on the increase of available P2O5, as applied same amounts based on T-P contents of them. Based on the amount of T-P in LMC and CF, 0.01M-CaCl2 extractable P in the soil applied with CF was higher as compared with LMC, given the same amount of P applied into the soil. For correlation analysis between Av. P2O5 extracted by 0.01M-CaCl2 and other P fractionated by different extractable solutions, it was found out that 0.01M-CaCl2 extractable P was
positive correlation with KCl-P(soluble and exchangeable P) and HCl-P(Ca and Mg bound P) but NaOH-P(Fe and Al bound P and organic P) and Residual P were in negative correlation. However, one of the fractionation phosphorus, NaOH-P(Fe and Al bound P and organic P), was significantly more related with 0.01M-CaCl2 extractable P through out multiple regression analysis with standardized data.
