The purpose of this study was to examine the relations of the test anxiety of high school female students and parents’ academic achievement pressure and overprotective attitudes. The subjects of this study were 568 high school female students in grades 1 through 3 in Busan. The test tool were ‘ARTS(Anxiety Responses in Testing Scale)’ of Byung-Gee Bak, Shin-Il Im, Eo-Jin Kim, ‘The Academic Achievement Pressure Scale’ in the master’s thesis of Kang Young Chul, ‘The Overprotection Scale’ of Chung Eun Young.

The data were analysed by the methods as bellow;
The collected data were analyzed in using Pearson correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, also statistical data was processed by SPSS WIN 18.0.

Results of this study were as follows.
First, parents’ academic achievement pressure and overprotective attitudes had considerable influence on both test-preparation anxiety and test-tasking anxiety. To put it concretely, parents’ academic achievement pressure and overprotective parents’ attitudes had a positive correlation to both test-preparation anxiety and test-tasking anxiety, that is to say the more academic achievement pressure and overprotective parents’ attitudes, the more both test-preparation anxiety and test-tasking anxiety. Particularly, parents’ academic achievement pressure influence on test-preparing anxiety more than test-tasking anxiety.
Second, parents’ academic achievement pressure had an influence on timidity, avoidance of test-preparation anxiety subscales. In other words, the more parents’ academic achievement pressure was perceived by high school female students, the more timidity, avoidance of test-preparation anxiety subscales.
Third, overprotective attitudes affected developing physiological symptoms, behavioral symptoms of test-tasking anxiety subscales positive influence. In other words, the more overprotective attitudes was perceived by high school female students, the more physiological symptoms, behavioral symptoms of test-tasking anxiety subscales.
Result of this study showed that parents’ academic achievement pressure and overprotective attitudes had a considerable positive effect on test-preparation anxiety and test-tasking anxiety. Base on the findings, the result of this study suggests that in order to reduce test-preparing anxiety and test-tasking anxiety of high school female students, it is important to consider their parents’ parenting attitude.
