Purpose: This study is to search for the tooth bleaching and the post-bleaching efficacy the variation of satisfacion and dietary habits effect.
Methods: Forty-five subjects with convenience sampling method into three groups(n=15) according to the control, 10% carbamide peroxide, 15% hydrogen peroxide. 10% carbamide peroxide is performed in a tray for 2hours/day during 14 days. The light activation of 15% hydrogen peroxide is executed 3 times/day(during 45 minutes) and the control is observed without bleaching treatment. Shade evaluations were done with a ShadeEye NCC at baseline, 1-day, 1-week, 4-week, 12-week and 24-week post bleaching. Data were analyzed using, repeated measured ANOVA, One-way ANOVA and chi-square test.
Results : The ΔE* of post-bleaching is signified for treatment group than baseline(p<0.001) and the all of two treatment groups is signified for 24-week post-bleaching. At 24-week post-bleaching, tooth shade remained lighter than at baseline for both treatment groups(p<0.05), but the significance between 10% carbamide peroxide group and 15% hydrogen peroxide group is not(p>0.05). The baseline was not the difference of front and the rear bleaching(p<0.05) at the comparison of the expectation and the satisfaction level but treatment groups was reduced after the treatment satisfaction(p<0.01). The subjective tooth shade expectation is same for the front and the rear bleaching but the high satisfaction appeared at the treatment group from post bleaching to 24-week. Conclusion: The value of L*a*b* post-bleaching was increased and the bleaching effect lasted for 12-week after the ending.
