To know how much damages occurred by nematodes in fruits and vegetables field, soil samples were collected from strawberry cultivation area at Buyeo and Nonsan in Chungnam and Jinju in Kyeongnam, melon cultivation area at Gocksung in Junnam and cucumber field at Gongju in Chungnam. And then, nematode samples were separated from each soil sample, and identified the kind of plant-parasitic nematodes. For the conducting of susceptibility of plant-parasitic nematode against control agents in laboratory and field condition.

1. Plant-parasitic nematodes was separated from 52 soil samples. Among that samples, Meloidogyne spp., Pratylenchus spp. and Helicotylenchus spp. was isolated from 45 (86.5%%) and 33 (63.5%) and 47 collected soil samples (90.4%), respectively.

2. As a result of identification of plant-parasitic nematodes from regional collected soil samples, distribution of Helicotylenchus spp. were higher than any other plant-parasitic nematode. Otherwise, the population of Meloidogyne spp. and Pratylenchu spp. were also higher, and a occurrence ratio of Meloidogyne spp. is higher than Pratylenchu spp. except the cucumber growing area at Gongju.

3. There were many tests for examine the regional resistances against several nematicides. The average density of plant parasitic nematodes were reduced after treatment of nematicides. However, there was increased the population of Pratylenchus spp. in the soil after treatment of fosthiazate 30% at Buyeo and Gocksung, furthermore, there were increased population with treatments of abamectin 1.6%, cadusafos 3% and dazomet 98% at Gocksung.

4. When treated BA12011 that is developing as new nematicide, it was confirmed that its control effects were similar with other 4 nematicides to plant parasitic nematodes in the tested growing area. Otherwise, its control effect was higher than the treatment of fosthiazate 30% at cucumber growing soil in Gongju.

5. When treated the nematicides in each collected soil, egg mass formation were different according to the regional collected soil. Abamectin 1.6% was effective to reduce the degree of egg mass formation at the Buyeo and Jinju soil, and BA12011 was effective at Nonsan and Gocksung. Dazomet 98% was found to inhibit the formation of egg mass effect at Gongju soil.

6. To evaluate the effect of new developing nematicides, BA12011, experiments were conducted at each growing greenhouse. The average density of plant parasitic nematode was investigated at pre-treatment and 2 treatments. Average density populations of Melidogyne spp., Pratylenchus spp. and Helicotylenchus spp. after first treatment were more reduced than after second treatment. It was suggested that early treatment of nematicides against plant parasitic nematodes was more important for control of that.
