The purpose of the study is to provide basic information on vitalization of rural experience programs and on its marketing strategies to improve satisfaction of visitors as well as stakeholders dwelling in the rural areas by identifying measured variables, which include current rural experience programs in South Korea, and by analyzing effect of each variable on destination choice attributes and satisfaction from rural experiential tourism.? ?The study consists of both literature review and empirical study. In a literature review section, information regarding rural experiential tourism, types of rural experiential tourism, and choice attributes rural experiential tourism was gathered to apply theoretical concepts and outline. In an empirical study section, a preliminary survey on marketing managers for rural experiential tour package, and staff and experts on rural experiential tour programs was conducted. 250 copies of 300 copies of survey that were distributed and conducted by trained interviewers were collected, and of the 250 copies, 44 copies that contained omissions throughout were excluded from effective sample for analysis. ?First, the result showed that rural life experience type and rural culture experience type had an effect on experiential activity attribute and accessibility attribute of rural tourism choice attribute, rural culture experience type and rural environment experience type on environmental attractive attribute, all types on convenience facility attribute, and rural culture experience type on information attribute.? ?Second, the result showed that rural life experience type and rural culture experience type had an effect on satisfaction from rural tourism, and from this result, it could be estimated that the more the visitors value rural life experience programs and rural culture experience programs, the higher the satisfaction was from rural tourism. ?Third, the result showed that choice attributes, such as experiential activity attribute, environmental attractive attribute, and convenience facility attribute, were key prediction factors that positively affect both satisfaction level and referral intention level of visitors on rural tourism. ?From the result, the following strategies for development of rural experiential tourism programs and vitalization of rural tourism can be established. ?First, rural tourism villages must design a comprehensive design with structurally detailed plans to seek a specialization strategy for their experiential programs. ?Second, products based on ruralness and quality products must be developed to satisfy touristic needs of visitors. ?Third, in order to understand rural tourism market, multi-faceted application of quality check tools that take particularity of rural tourism villages into account, to visitor-oriented rural experiential tourism programs is required.? ?Fourth, distinguished and sophisticated experience programs that utilize ecological, cultural, and occupational resources of rural area, along with marketing strategies consider characteristic of visitors, must be developed to create a foundation for stable flow of profit. ?Fifth, in order to ensure stability of rural experiential tourism programs, an educational system for village mangers must be established. In addition, operation of rural culture supporter system, excavation of cultural contents, and networking for cultural artists must be carried out to increase capacity of local villagers.? ?Sixth, development of local villager-oriented experiential program is required. Because operation of rural experiential programs vitalizes rural villages and their economy by utilizing pre-existing amenity experiential resources to provide for consumers like city dweller, development of rural villages experiential programs, based on active participation and consent from local villagers, must be followed. ?Seventh, even though awareness level of city dwellers of rural experiential programs is low at the moment, satisfaction level of those who experience the programs is high; it can be estimated that demand for rural tourism will be high in the future.?
