The purpose of this study is to analyze 213 players who participate in the 50th Presidential Men`s and Women`s National Tennis Championship Tournament by using the available sampling methods and extracting samples to examine the effect of self-management of middle and high school tennis players. As for data prcoessing, frequency analysis, reliability analysis, t-Test, One-ANOVA, correlation analysis, and stepwise regression analysis were carried out using SPSS 19.0 Program and conclusion was drawn as follow:
First, the result which examined self-management, self-confidence, and athletic satisfaction according to the individual characteristics is as follow: Self-management according to gender and self-management of self-confidence and athletic satisfaction has found that mental management of male students is higher than that of female students and body care of female students is higher than that of male students. Self-confidence of female students is higher than that of male students in proof of capacity. Athletic satisfaction of male students is higher than that of female students in environment satisfaction.
Self-management and self-management of self-confidence and athletic satisfaction according to teams has found that mental management and body care of the middle school group is higher than those of the high school group and training management of the high school group is higher than that of the middle school group. Self-confidence of the middle school group is higher than that of the high school group in physical and mental preparation. Athletic satisfaction of the middle school group is higher than that of the high school group in athletic life satisfaction.
The result which analyzed self-management, self-confidence, and athletic satisfaction has found that mental management and train management of the group which is less than 4 years are higher than those of other groups in self-management. Self-confidence of the group which is four to seven years is higher than that of other groups in coach leadership. Athletic satisfaction of the group which is less than 4 years is higher than other groups in athletic life satisfaction.
The result which analyzed self-management, self-confidence, and athletic satisfaction according to individual training has found that self-management of the group which does individual training is higher than that of the groups which don''t do it in body care and training management. Self-confidence of the group which does individual training is higher than that of the groups which don''t do it in physical and mental preparation and proof of capacity. Athletic satisfaction of the group which does individual training is higher than that of the groups which don''t do it in athletic life satisfaction and social approval.
Second, the result which examined the effect of self-management on self-confidence has found that mental management and body care have the effect on coach leadership, interpersonal management, body care, mental management, and training management have the effect on physical and mental preparation, and body care and interpersonal management have the effect on social approval.
Third, the result which examined the effect of self-management on athletic satisfaction has found that interpersonal management has the effect on environment satisfaction, body care has the effect on athletic life satisfaction, and body care and mental management have the effect on social approval.
