Purpose: This study evaluate competitiveness in steel industry both Korea and USA by the courtesy of using analysis index of market share, revealed comparative advantage index (RCA), trade specialization index (TSI) according to time-series analysis statistics database.
Research design, data, and methodology: In order to calculate correct outcome, Exact data is retrieved from worldwide well-known trade related database UNcomtrade which is very popular in both domestic and abroad researchers.
Results: This research’s outcome is to find out competitiveness between Korea and USA’s steel industry as research methods are 3 kinds which is the first time to use evaluating which country is more competitiveness and it is successful method to analyze both 2 countries competitiveness.
Conclusions: By the courtesy of above research tool, I can manage to figure out that Korea is dominating steel industry against USA steel industry. That means Korea steel industry has overwhelmingly competitiveness against USA steel industry.
