This study analyzed the current status of the ICT industry and major technology trends that play a key role, and based on cases, it was analyzed using event study to see if the technology value of the ICT industry was properly evaluated in the capital market. As a result of the analysis, a significant stock price reaction appeared even after the date of technology-related disclosure of ICT companies, and this stock price reaction was judged to be due to an abnormal phenomenon. In other words, it was interpreted that a stock price reaction of unknown cause appeared even after the event because the technology value was not properly evaluated in the market. In the current situation where the ICT industry is growing day by day and the importance of securing of technology is increasing, the results of this study suggest that it is very important to accurately recognize the value of the technology owned by ICT firms in industry.
