This study aims to examine the expressive elements and characteristics influenced by contemporary paradigms, their application processes, and the degree to which architectural characteristics effectively communicate with users.
This study proceeds through theoretical development based on literature review and case analysis using numerical analysis and statistical processing. In selecting case studies, The analysis elements were extracted primarily from the keywords and major concepts derived from literature review, and after assessing their application, 18 elements were ultimately selected following the exclusion of five with low application frequency. The application weight of these elements was analyzed using a matrix approach, and group classification was performed based on statistical similarity. Recognition analysis was conducted by presenting images of selected cases to 50 interior architecture students.
This study finds that contemporary architecture, driven by the transformative advancements in digital technology, has expanded its conceptual domain compared to previous eras. Consequently, as digital technology continues to evolve, architects are realizing an expanded range of design concepts, complex spatial forms, and intricate design motifs that were previously difficult to achieve. Furthermore, with greater emphasis on individuality and identity in human society, architecture is evolving toward "optimized, customized architecture reflecting the expanded range of preferences," a trend that is expected to continue.
