To enhance the bonding quality of aluminum extrusions and cast materials, insert casting and laser structuring processes were applied, and the effects of laser process parameters on bonding quality and bonding strength were analyzed. The shapes, undercut, were analyzed based on the significant laser structuring process parameters, such as power, jump speed, and scan speed. The laser power and scan speed were strongly correlated, and when the power was 400 W and the scan speed was 500 mm/s, depth was the highest at 623 ㎛. On the other hand, when the laser power was 400 W and the scan speed was 1,000 mm/s, depth was the lowest at 56 ㎛. To verify the effectiveness of the laser structuring process, a joint specimen was manufactured through insert casting and the shear strength was evaluated, and a value of 44.4 MPa was confirmed.
