As computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology has advanced, the use of optical impression data from intraoral scanners (IOS) is increasingly being explored in various areas of dental practice. IOS has been shown to provide clinically acceptable accuracy for single implants, and ongoing evaluations are assessing the accuracy and marginal compatibility of prosthetics produced via IOS for multiple implants and natural teeth. This case report aims to present the use of various functions of an intraoral scanner in the overall process of fixed prosthesis fabrication including single implant, from diagnosis and treatment planning to treatment and maintenance. In particular, through intraoral scanning, intraoral information can be more easily recorded and reflected in the production of prosthetics.
