In modern society, appearance and image are crucial elements symbolizing personal competitiveness. As a result, many individuals invest significant time and money in appearance management to create an ideal image. Personal color plays a substantial role in image management. This study aims to analyze the impact of personal color recognition on changes in hair and nail art behaviors. Data were collected through a survey of 179 adult men and women aged between 20 and 50. The survey included questions related to personal color recognition and items measuring changes in hair and nail art behaviors. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS 21.0, including frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis. The study found that personal color recognition significantly influences changes in hair and nail art behaviors. Particularly, color preference recognition had a more significant impact on hair and nail satisfaction than direct recognition. Hair behavior changes were significantly predicted by both color preference and direct recognition, whereas nail art behavior changes were mainly influenced by color preference recognition. This study suggests that personal color recognition enables individuals to make more satisfying and reliable choices in their beauty behaviors. It also highlights the potential for the beauty industry to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty by providing personalized beauty services that reflect individual color preferences through personal color diagnosis.
