This paper aims to analyze the meanings of korean 'meeting' verbs as a kind of reciprocal verbs according to the wordfield theory, and explore the wordfield of these verbs. The verbs shares the common characteristic of requiring the participation of two or more entities in the meeting event. The event expressed by these verbs can be classified in various ways according to the ontological characteristics of the participants. This study focus on the cases where all participants are human, which can be said to be the most basic case. The verbs can be divided into several types depending on the inherent meaning of the verbs themselves and the semantic characteristics of its arguments. The analysis revealed the following characteristics of the segmentation patterns of Korean 'meeting' verbs. First, the ‘meeting’ verbs are divided in different ways according to social relationships between participants, the restriction on the number of participants, whether they move, and whether they have intention. Additionally, The characteristics of the optional arguments, such as the nature of the meeting place, the duration of the meeting, and the manner of meeting, also play a crucial role in distinguishing the meaning of the ‘meeting’ verbs.
