Based on the construction of a comprehensive and meticulously curated corpus of relevant mathematics textbooks, this paper provides an extensive, in-depth, and detailed description of the current state of the usage of mathematical terms within these educational resources. The study undertakes a thorough, rigorous quantitative analysis from multiple dimensions, including but not limited to language form, part of speech, syntactic structure, and semantic meaning. By meticulously examining these various aspects, the paper aims to summarize and elucidate both the general and unique characteristics of how mathematical terms are utilized and integrated into mathematics textbooks. Furthermore, this research endeavors to supplement, refine, and enhance the foundational theory of mathematical terms, offering new insights, theoretical advancements, and improvements. In addition to these significant theoretical contributions, the findings of this paper also provide practical ideas, strategies, and solutions for addressing a variety of application problems. These practical applications include, but are not limited to, automatic term annotation, the systematic development of comprehensive glossaries, and the formulation of effective strategies for term learning and retention. By addressing these multifaceted issues, the paper aims to facilitate a more nuanced understanding and usage of mathematical terminology in educational contexts. This, is expected to improve the clarity, precision, and effectiveness of mathematical communication and instruction, ultimately benefiting educators, students, and researchers alike.
