Agriculture in Latin America faces complex issues such as income inequality, climate change, and worsening food security, leading to an increased importance of technological cooperation. This study analyzes cases of agricultural technology cooperation from both overseas and Korea to derive strategies for Korea’s cooperation in Latin America. By examining international cases such as FONTAGRO and PLACA, the study highlights the significance of multilateral cooperation and policy linkage, while also assessing the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation through Korea’s agricultural technology cooperation initiative, KoLFACI. Through this analysis, the paper proposes ways in which Korea can contribute to agricultural technology cooperation in Latin America: activating cooperation by region and economic area, enhancing capacities for sustainable agricultural practices and climate change adaptation, and identifying ODA projects for technology transfer and commercialization. These efforts could enable Korea’s agricultural technology cooperation ODA to secure a comparative advantage in the international community and contribute to enhancing the sustainability of agriculture and food security in Latin America.
