Hearing is an important sense of coexistence, but most people take it for granted unless it is weakened or lost. Blindness prevents a person from gaining knowledge of the surrounding environment and makes unassisted navigation, object recognition, obstacle avoidance, and reading tasks major challenges. Our work proposes an Assistive Intelligent Hearing and Visual Aid System that supports hearing-impaired and blind patients and allows them to live a normal life. The patients will be required to wear smart glasses equipped with bone conduction technology and wirelessly connected with an application running on the patient's smartphone. The system uses bone conduction earphones for text-to-speech conversion and a Raspberry Pi 4B with a camera module for facial recognition and uses an OpenCV model. Changes in the sense of touch that facilitate interaction with the environment. When the system detects the presence of a human, it searches its database for a potential match. If the facial recognition criterion of at least 80 degrees is met, the user can hear the name of the recognized person through the bone-conduction earphones. The proposed assistive device is an intelligent, low-cost, reliable, and portable solution.
