This study aimed to evaluate radiation exposure through backscatter from the wall when a apron a protective suit with an open back when supporting patient photography in a radiography room using electromagnetic radiation. The radiation exposure was evaluated by implementing shielding on the front and sides according to the distance between the source and the wall and the irradiation conditions. The evaluation results were measured from a minimum of 0.2 μSv/hr to a maximum of 56.91 μSv/hr, and a relatively high result was shown at 3,100 mm. This shows that securing a certain distance from the wall can further reduce radiation exposure. Therefore, in order to minimize radiation exposure in a general radiography room in the future, it will be necessary to secure a distance where the amount of radiation scattered by interaction with the wall is small.
