The purpose of this study investigated the effects of 12 weeks of mixed exercise on immunoglobulin(Ig) factors, derivatives-reactive oxygen metabolites(d-ROMs) & biological antioxidant potential(BAP) in obese children. Forty-five obese children of 8 ~ 10 years over body mass index(BMI) 25(kg/m2) were divided into two groups(exercise & non-exercise groups). The saliva for Ig collected at the point of pre-exercise, post-4, 8, and 12-week exercise, respectively, and analyzed IgA, IgG, IgM, and d-ROMs & BAP. The collected blood samples from a fingertip for d-ROMs & BAP were analyzed with FRAS evolvo, H & D Co., Italy. Statistical analysis used the test of homogeneity with Kolmogorov-Smirnov & the Shapiro-Wilk of normality and two-way repeated-measures ANOVA, and Bonferroni's method for post-hoc analysis and independent t-test between groups. lgA in the exercise group significantly increased at the 8-week and 12-week( p<.05) to be compared with the pre-exercise and 4-week. lgG and lgM in the exercise group significantly increased at the point of 4, 8, and 12-week( p<.05) compared with the pre-exercise. The d-ROMs did not increased significantly between groups and measured at the points, but BAP increased significantly in the exercise group at 4, 8, and 12-week( p<.05) compared with pre-exercise. In conclusion, IgG,IgM and BAP increased for the 12 weeks of mixed exercise.
