Last winter, the whole country was agitated by the imposition of excessive heating bills. A number of media have reported various ways to reduce so-called heating costs, but there was no significant difference in the controversy over heating costs compared to the past, except for factors such as the relatively low outdoor temperature during the heating period(especially December 2022) and the increase in city gas and district heating rates. However, it is very regrettable that the fundamental problem of the centralized heating system in Korea is buried in the controversy over excessive heating costs. When public interest rose as a result of a rapid increase in energy rates like this time, we should have been concerned about a cool-headed criticism and a fundamental solution.
Although the cause and solutions to these problems have already been suggested more than 10 years ago, there is a high possibility that such problems will occur at any time at houses in domestic residential buildings across the country, although there may be differences in degree. This is why it is urgent to prepare institutional measures to solve these problems and to impose fair heating costs. This study aims to briefly su㎜arize and describe the problems and improvement plans inherent in the domestic centralized heating system management system that has been proposed in the wake of the heating price crisis.
