Recently, the high-tech media 3D printing industry that will lead the 4th industrial revolution is attracting attention, and it is already growing mainly in the manufacturing market. Thanks to the growth of the 3D printing market, it is recognized for its potential as a new technology that will change the paradigm in various fields such as education, medical care, architecture, fashion, art, and design. In this study, 3D digital printing technology was applied to art makeup design, and various creative designs were presented by combining color association and symbolism in art makeup. Using literature and content analysis research methods, we tried to review 3D digital printing and case analysis that appeared in modern science and technology by referring to related books, sites, academic papers, and academic journals, and to lay the foundation for art makeup design materials by combining them with colors. Through the contents of this study, it is meaningful to inform the literature knowledge and color artistry of 3D digital printing, and to make it easier to understand the art makeup of 3D digital printing style and its characteristics. The works of this study made by 3D printing were able to design three-dimensional objects with various feelings that appeared from various angles, and the desired object could be implemented immediately, resulting in a time-saving effect. As such, art makeup design using 3D printing development technology is significant in that it combines IT technology with new materials and new methods, and is expected to serve as a case basis for applying innovative technology to makeup design in the future. Therefore, it is suggested that continuous follow-up research on the convergence of 3D printing and art makeup is needed.
