The purpose of this study is to examine how the characteristics of experiential elements affect the recreational specialization of participants in Taekwondo Hanmadang Festival. Among the four realms of experience shaping the festival exprience, this study examined how the elements of immersion and absorption affect the characteristics of recreational specialization, revisit intention, and leisure satisfaction. A survey was conducted with a total of 277 people for research data, and the data collection was conducted using convenience sampling. The results were as follows. First, the experiential factors of ‘absorption’ and ‘immersion’ experience were found to have a positive effect on the perception of recreational specialization. Second, the experiential factors of ‘absorption’ and ‘immersion’ experience were found to have a positive effect on the sentiment of recreational specialization. Third, the experiential factors of ‘absorption’ experience were found to have a positive effect on recreational specialization behavior. Participating in the Taekwondo Hanmadang Festival can be a great experience in the process of specializing in leisure activities, and it is important to have a strategic foundation for detailed operational directions on how to manage various events related to the sports festival.
