The purpose of this study is to provide another suggestion for future Gong-po research by confirming the structural role of Salmibu, the walking Cheomcha of Gong-po, in the early Jusimpo-style traditional wooden buildings after the end of the Goryeo Dynasty and how Salmibu is bearing the building roof eaves load. Research on the classification of styles of traditional Korean wooden architecture has been continuously conducted, but it has been organized in terms of design, such as the composition and shape of members centered on Gong-po. However, Gong-po is the most important structural material for maintaining the so-called hanok-type roof eaves at the same time as the design. The structural characteristics of the Jusimpo-style architecture are implied in Gong-po’s Salmibu and are the most important value of important national heritage. This study is expected to be used as basic data necessary to maintain and preserve it.
