This paper explores the architectural elements of co-living spaces in the context of the New Normal era, focusing on how these spaces can be optimized for single-person households in Seoul. Although the concept of co-living is not new, its prominence has increased due to growing demands for economic efficiency and the balance between privacy and community. This research explores recent case studies of co-living spaces, with particular attention to recent trends and the legal framework, such as the institutionalization of rental dormitories. By analyzing these cases through the lenses of urban sociology, sustainable architecture, and spatial flexibility, this study identifies key design strategies to enhance privacy, social interaction, and adaptability within high-density urban environments. The findings contribute to the development of resilient co-living models that address the evolving needs of modern urban dwellers.
