The purpose of this study is to analyze the overall composition, each component, and the shape, decoration, and material of each component in detail, focusing on the elevation in the central part of major public buildings in Changchun during the post-liberation period. The form of placing an oriental roof on the main building of a Western-style building appears in various purposes such as educational and cultural facilities rather than being concentrated on specific purposes such as government offices, but did not occupy the majority. The central elevation shows centrality, hierarchy, and symmetry. There were many buildings expressing the roof rafters, pillars, and dungs of traditional wooden architecture, and in addition to stone and tiles, artificial stone occupies a relatively large proportion of the finishing material.
