The objective of the current study is to examine the relationship between beauty knowledge, skin care behavior, and customer satisfaction, therefore, a survey of 411 adult males and females who had experience using medical beauty services in the field of dermatology was conducted. According to the findings of the current study, professional treatment in dermatology offices and hospitals is the most preferred method for management of skin problems. Regarding skin concerns, wrinkles/elasticity accounted for the highest proportion, and for those in their 20s, sebum/ acne accounted for the highest proportion. Regarding beauty knowledge, skin knowledge and cosmetics knowledge showed a positive correlation with higher educational background. Regarding skin care behavior, beauty care behavior also showed a positive correlation with higher educational background. In addition, regarding beauty knowledge, cosmetic knowledge and medical beauty knowledge had a significant positive (+) effect on both skin care behavior and customer satisfaction. Skin care behavior has a mediating effect in the relationship between beauty knowledge and customer satisfaction. Specifically, the findings indicated that a higher level of beauty knowledge can influence positive changes in skin care behavior through active engagement, resulting in higher customer satisfaction. Therefore, the results of the current study demonstrate that improving beauty knowledge can have a positive influence on active and proper skin care behavior, for prevention of side effects , improvement of skin health and for maintaining beauty and can ultimately lead to increased skin satisfaction.
