This study focuses on the healing potential of dance by engaging teachers in the entire process ofcreating and performing dances on stage. This study aimes to examine the role and contribution of theseexperiences in overcoming perceived traumas among teachers and to analyze the emotional meaningsfelt by audiences of various backgrounds who watched the performances. Several educational outcomeswere identified as a result. To sum up, first, it was an opportunity to reflect on who they were by bringingup the ‘wounds that must be told,’ even if they would not want to talk about them. Second, it served as acatalyst to deepen the understanding of teachers’ lives, and foster empathy and communication forsolidarity. Third, it was a moment of comfort and recovery for teachers through reflection amongstudents, teachers, parents, and other members of society. Hopefully, this study will provide additionalresource on the role of dance in healing the difficulties and wounds of people from various strata of oursociety.
