Well-being is increasingly recognized as essential in modern life, especially for disabled individuals facing socialdisadvantages. Creating welfare facilities for the disabled that go beyond basic physical standards to support well-being iscrucial. This study explores how to design spaces for such facilities incorporating the concept of social integration throughBiophilic Design. Biophilic Design, grounded in E. O. Wilson's Biophilia hypothesis, suggests that humans have an innate affinitytowards nature, which can foster a sense of safety and tranquility. By integrating nature into architectural environments, it aimsto enhance human emotional stability and well-being. The research identifies five key Biophilic Design elements: Visual Connection with Nature, Non-Visual Connection with Nature,Presence of Water, Biomorphic Forms & Patterns, and Material Connection with Nature. These elements, based on W. Browning's 14 Patterns of Biophilic Design, are used to analyze how Biophilic Design can be applied to create spaces that notonly meet the physical needs of the disabled but also promote their well-being through a connection with nature. The studyconcludes that for welfare facilities to truly serve the disabled, Biophilic Design principles should be integrated from the initialstages of conceptual and mass design, with applications adapted at each design phase, including floor plans andelevation-section plans, to create a nature-mediated welfare environment.
