The purpose of this study is to identify the relative importance and priority of factors for developing athletics in Korea by extracting factors for developing athletics in Korea using Delphi analysis for expert group and applying the analytical hierarchy process. Through this, we want to find a way for developing athletics in Korea. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, a total of 20 professionals was selected as the subjects of the study such as personnel from KAAF and working-level administrators from Athletics Federations in cities and provinces, athletics-specialized leaders with more than 10 years of athletics instruction career, current and former members of the national team, players with more than 10 years of athletic career, and professors of physical education and administrative science and doctors of physical education as research specialists, and this study was conducted by mutually supplementing external criticism and internal criticism for the purpose of securing the validity and reliability of the study. The research process was conducted through a total of 4 surveys whereby the 1st through 3rd surveys used Delphi method while the analytical hierarchy process was conducted in the final 4th survey. As a result, 6 high-rank items and 28 low-rank items were drawn.
