In the modern digital society, not limited to one field, but a form in which various fields such as art, design, engineering, science, and computers are fused is creating a new paradigm. In this paradigm, there is fractal geometry where art and science are fused, and in the nail art field where fractal geometry is combined, nails are designed using various patterns and shapes, and complex and delicate details, elaborate designs, various shapes, colors, and textures are used to create their own unique style, thereby promoting the fusion of the expression method of nail art. The study of nail art design applying the formative characteristics of fractal geometry with lines, cotton, and three-dimensional formative elements in nail art may have the need for creative design development, visual interest induction, formative exploration, educational value delivery, and market competitiveness. Therefore, this study produced a total of eight works in the nail art tip with 4 flat types, 2 stereoscopic types, and 2 fusion types by deriving the fractal geometry components self-similarity, nonlinearity, irregularity, randomness, repetition, overlap, distortion, and scaling transformation. As a result of the study, it was possible to produce nail art works with fractal geometric components and formative characteristics, and it became an original and creative design study. It is hoped that various studies showing originality and creativity in the field of nail art will be conducted by expanding to various types of fractal geometric expressions, making it a field where art and science are fused and contributing to the development of the nail art industry.
