The purpose of this study is to solve the problem that it is important to develop an appropriate aesthetic eye in the environment where modern people are exposed to visual images. It is necessary to develop the ability to properly appreciate and use colors through color science education in adolescence. However, there is a situation in reality where it is difficult to attract students'' interest with the existing traditional art alone. As a solution, we propose a teaching and learning guide plan using pop art, a popular art, to respond to changes in contemporary art. As a method of research, first, the concept and characteristics of pop art and the colors seen in pop art works are studied, and the characteristics of the works of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, the representative artists of pop art, are analyzed. In addition, the content of color science shown in 7 kinds of middle school textbooks and the color theory of pop art works presented are analyzed. Therefore, we propose a teaching and learning guide plan that can acquire creativity and related knowledge that can be applied to advertisements or posters that can be seen around us. The proposed study plan enables students to gain familiarity and confidence in art through color classes using pop art. In addition, it can help explain the color contrast and the content and meaning of the work using appropriate art terminology and color science knowledge. Through presentations, students can understand the work of other students and learn how to communicate through mutual feedback. Finally, by submitting a process folio that shows the completed work, evaluates and organizes the results, the creativity and ability of the students can be evaluated, and the development direction for the next project can be suggested. Through these results, it is expected to have the effect of teaching color science more interestingly and positively, and to play a role in cultivating students'' correct understanding of color and discernment that can be used in real life.
