This research investigates the deployment of private cloud technology to enhance sustainability and efficiency in the maritime and port sector. It aims to establish an eco-friendly and intelligent service framework, focusing on the development of specific service offerings that promote sustainable advancement in maritime port operations and contribute to achieving carbon neutrality goals. The study encompasses the creation of web services designed for maritime ports, including the aggregation of data relevant to carbon neutrality, the development of services for reporting and statistical analysis of carbon emissions at maritime ports, and the creation of carbon emission simulation services. Additionally, the research highlights the acquisition of pilot sites for the development of a maritime port platform and the formation of collaborative business groups.
The paper explores the use of agent-based program technologies for data collection within a private cloud framework, architectures for data gateway inputs/outputs, methodologies for data preprocessing, and the integration and enhancement of both collected and processed data. Through this exploration, the study proposes a novel methodology for establishing and supporting a sustainable, efficient, and eco-intelligent service ecosystem in the maritime and port industry by leveraging private cloud technology.
The findings of this research are expected to provide valuable guidelines and insights for decision-makers, industry stakeholders, and academics focused on enhancing the sustainability of the maritime port sector and reducing carbon emissions.
