The climate crisis resulting from greenhouse gas emissions has become a tangible climate emergency, prompting global efforts to address it. In response, our country is actively engaged in the "Green Remodeling" project to reduce carbon emissions generated during the maintenance and management stages of buildings, which account for the highest proportion of total carbon emissions. However, Green Remodeling faces challenges during the construction phase in translating conceptual designs into actual implementation. To contribute to the reliable management of Green Remodeling construction, this study aims to determine priorities between support activities for Green Remodeling and key construction considerations for each specific project. This research identified support items for Green Remodeling construction projects and determined construction priorities for each project through expert surveys and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis. The analysis of survey responses revealed that Interior Insulation Work emerged as the most critical aspect among Green Remodeling construction projects, and priorities for six different construction projects were also established.
Based on these results, the research data, if utilized as foundational information for construction management such as the development of construction guidelines, is expected to provide assistance in the future for non-expert client representatives facing challenges in construction management and site managers undertaking Green Remodeling for the first time.
