The purpose of this study was to measure and compare changes in cardiovascular disease factors including blood pressure, heart rate, and arterial stiffness by occupational groups (warship, administration, aviation, submarine) before and after 2-week training in navy soldiers. Participants in the study were 43 in total, comprising 15 from warship, 12 from administration, 9 from aviation, and 7 from submarine. To measure blood pressure and arterial stiffness, we used Colin Pulse Waveform Analyzer and anlyze pulse wave velocity (PWV). Two-way repeated analysis of variance(ANOVA) was used for statistical analysis and we observed interaction effects (time x group) on the blood pressure, heart rate, and PWV. As a result of the study, there was significant interaction effects between group and time in heart rate and PWV. In heart rate after training, administration groups had significant increase compared with other groups. PWV, which indicated cardiovascular disease, was significantly decreased in submarine groups compared with aviation group after training. We found that there was some difference in heart rate and PWV between occupational groups; however, there was no change before and after 2-week training.
