An injection molding analysis was performed to provide reference data for the design of injection molds used in manufacturing plastic console trays for automobiles. Through injection molding analysis, both the design reference data and optimal molding conditions for molding operations were obtained. Prior to optimizing the molding conditions, the deformation amount was measured at 2.69 mm. The Taguchi method, which is widely applied in industrial settings, was employed to optimize these conditions. The optimal conditions derived from the experimental plan and ANOVA using the Taguchi method were then determined. On applying the optimal molding conditions, the deflection amount decreased to 2.40 mm, representing a reduction of 10.8% compared with the initial conditions.
