In this paper, the condition for the existence of a static output feedback controller that asymptotically stabilizes the continuous-time T-S fuzzy system is expressed as bilinear matrix inequalities. The presented condition is more relaxed compared with that from a previous study [15]. An iterative algorithm is used to solve the matrix inequalities because of their bilinearity. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified through a simple example.
