Technology has continued to influence the success of businesses through several key factors that improve how businesses operate. Self-service kiosk technology promotes effectiveness and reliability across businesses. The study uses user engagement analysis to compare user experiences of interacting with self-service kiosks. The thesis describes the need for self-service kiosks and their purpose. The case study method involving a literature review of prior research on self-service kiosk design, elements of self-service kiosks, and interaction flow is adopted. The aim of the study is to analyze several characteristics associated with self-service kiosks’ features and their implementation to promote kiosks’ effectiveness, to further explore how adding different motion graphics effects promotes the effectiveness of self-service kiosks, and to review the literature related to the described concept to provide background knowledge in designing the self-service kiosks, considering their characteristics. A research experiment was conducted to examine the interaction of individuals with motion graphics effects on the interface of self-service kiosks. The experiment gathered data on participants’ experiences and engagement during these interactions. The experiment evaluated the effectiveness of motion graphic effects and timing within the user interface. The findings indicated that each effect played a crucial role in enhancing the design of self-service kiosks and fostering user engagement.
