In this study, we developed and applied a crawling technique to analyze subtitles in YouTube videos to help understand the increasing amount of digital content with the growth of OTT platforms. The methodology is to develop a data crawl in Python using the data API provided by YouTube. We developed an algorithm to collect as many data as the researcher wants by improving API, which collects the limited amount of data.
Using the algorithm, this research analyzed the changes in financial security-related content of 2018 and 2023. The results clearly show the changes in keywords and interests over time, suggesting new challenges and opportunities in the field of digital financial security. This study demonstrates the validity of the content analysis methodology through subtitle crawling and provides a basis for future similar studies.
