The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the level of participation in physical activities affects subjective health perception and subjective body shape perception among baby boomers using the psychological continuum model(PCM). The research method consisted of frequency analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multivariate analysis of variance. The results showed that, first, the frequency of weekly participation and the number of hours of participation per week increased statistically significantly as the stage of the psychological continuum increased among baby boomers. Second, subjective health perception and subjective body shape perception were significantly related to the stages of the psychological continuum. While there was no difference between subjective health perception and subjective body shape perception in the attraction and attachment stages, subjective health perception and subjective body shape perception were higher in the allegiance stage, where the degree of psychological connection was stronger, compared to the other stages. The results of this study confirmed that subjective health perception and subjective body shape perception are related to the level of participation in physical activities according to the psychological continuance stage.
