This study focuses on analyzing the color scheme of the stained glass of the Yoon Ji-chung catholic church in the Diocese of Jeonju, the Christian symbolism of colors, and the correlation between architectural space. The stained glass of Yun Ji-chung"s catholic church introduces both traditional and modern techniques depending on the location and subject of the windows. The colors are composed considering the transparent properties of stained glass, where light directly intervenes, and the characteristics of colored shadows, the location, shape, and orientation of the windows inside the church were analyzed and applied. In addition, the work was carried out in a way to form a flow of colors within the space by actively reflecting the Christian symbolism of colors that fit the nature of the architecture as a catholic liturgical space. In this way, the color of the stained glass of Yun Ji-chung catholic church plays a role in unifying the space inside the building by appropriately controlling the quality of light coming from the window and at the same time giving symbolism. And it presents the possibility that stained glass art can be widely applied not only to religious architecture but also to various secular architecture.
