This study was to design a remodeling plan by the government"s “Green Smart Future School project” to improve the educational environment of aging elementary schools. The plan was based on the following five principles: First, indoor and outdoor spaces are flexibly linked, and an easy-to-access outdoor space is provided. Second, the educational space that responds to the rapidly changing educational environment needs to be flexible and adjustable, and learning space and equipment are needed to reflect the evolving level of future technology. Third, school facilities must meet increasing demands for safety and hygiene. Fourth, eco-friendly buildings must be built in response to climate change. Fifth, provide public facilities that can be shared with local residents.
