This study was carried out to investigate the major subjects of agricultural and extension education researches published in 1990's, to analyze the research methods concretely, and to get some implications for the academic progress of agricultural and extension education.The data were collected from the Journal of Korean Agricultural Education published in 1990's(1990-1999).The major results of the study were as follows;1) 279 research articles were reported in the Journal of Korean Agricultural Education in 1990's.2) Among 279 articles, 113 ones included in the part of school education research, 80 ones included in the part of extension research, 24 ones included in the part of rural society, 23 ones included in the part of agricultural environment research and 19 ones included in the part of agricultural and extension education of aborad.3) Of the 279 articles, 134 ones were published in the frist half of 1990's and 145 ones were published in the second half of 1990's.4) In 1990's input of globalism of agriculture under WTO system has been included in major research subject of agricultural education.5) Research subjects on North Korea agriculture and agricultural environmental education has been repidly increased in 1990's6) Also, agricultural information education was the newly noticed research area in 1990's
