Today along with high level economic growth, tendency to satisfy their lives appears, as recognition on health is newly extended, much time is invested in leisure, diverse leisure sports culture are widely expanding. Dancesport was produced as TV show recently and became familiar exercise as world famous players participated in gala show in our nation. Dancesport shows a harmony of dance motion, music, and costume as well as the aspect of exercise and especially splendid costumes are the characteristics of it.
The study has purposes to conduct content analysis research by composition element aiming at diverse Latin American dance costumes and investigate the aesthetic of Latin American dance costumes. For the method of content analysis research, 252 Latin American dance costumes shown at diverse competitions and shows between 2009 and 2011 were analyzed and the results analyzing composition elements of Latin American dance costumes.
Based on the results appeared in the content analysis research, voluptuous beauty, beauty of human body, decorative beauty, beauty of symmetry, and rhythmical beauty were classified as esthetic characteristics of Latin American dance costume and the investigating.
